Karen is a typical child of generation X, influenced by punk, grunge and a rather pessimistic attitude towards life. But she hasn't lost her sense of humour - instead she uses her experience like pieces of a puzzle for her cuts and illustrations. These evolve around topics such as food, nature, fungi, music, the absurdities of life and human abysses.

In August 2022, Karen opened the art venue Flaming Heart in the former SBB railway station in Flamatt (between Bern and Fribourg) together with painter Andrea Nyffeler. Solo and group exhibitions are held there on a regular basis. Want to know more? Get in touch: hello@cot-ting.ch
